About us

We are a locally owned and operated Registered Training Organisation (RTO), which specialises in First Aid courses for individuals or companies.

We specialise in providing on-site training and therefore explore flexibility and tailor training to suit the specific needs of the client.

On of our goals is to instill confidence in our students, in the knowledge that they will walk away at the end of the course better equipped with the skills required to administer help to other people in time of emergency.

We strive to maintain a positive learning atmosphere in all our courses and encourage smaller group sizes to enhance the learning experience

Our Facilitator, Andy Gifford, draws upon over 25 years experience in first aid, both professionally, and as a volunteer, which means courses are delivered from a realistic approach.

The motto "Quality Training generates peace of mind" comes directly from Andy's knowledge and opinion that first aid training should not be a daunting experience.

In his previous employment as a teacher with another organisation, Andy received a Quality in Education award for his ability to modify his delivery without compromising the integrity of assessment, in delivering training to students who have not related to the traditional education/VET system.

Originally known as Col MacKay's First Aid Services, then Advantage First Aid and Safety, the company changed ownership and is now known as Coral Sea Training , a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), owned and operated by Sandra Gifford.
